We're here in Drumheller, AB

This is Horseshoe Canyon---- the land is completely flat, then you look out and there it is! This is dinosaur country too. We are off to Dinosaur Park tomorrow....

This is the famous Rosebud Opera House, where all summer long they put on plays. We were able to get tickets at the last minute to the Dinner theatre, where the food was awesome! then off to the play called "Trying". The only thing was, it ended after eleven---waaaaaay past our bedtime!! got back to the B&B about midnight...

You notice we all wear hats....courtesy of Honda Hair!!!

One Test Done....2 to go!

Got the worst (I think) test done today...barium enema. After 2 days of fluids only, I survived the actual test. Now I can eat & drink again and I seem no worse for the wear! Next week I have the priviledge of having a barium swallow...(I think this might be a real bugger) followed by an ultrasound the following week.

Drumheller or Bust!

If all goes well, Ted & I are off on the Goldwing to Drumheller this long weekend with a bunch of our Chapter members. I've never been there and the weather promises to be hot, so even better! I'll try to dig up a picture of Ted out there last time they all went. We are staying at a large bed & breakfast that can handle all of us! should be fun as usual for our group! WOOT!!

and then....

As I was saying I scrapped all day Saturday till about 5 pm, then I started feeling sick...oh no! Not again! Yup, again. the third time since Feb this year. Same thing: starts with a severe headache, nausea, then incapacitates me for three full days flat in bed, can't keep anything down including fluids....
So yesterday, my wonderful son took me in to see my doctor. (She was stumped, but concerned.... three times is not acceptable.) So now I am 'looking forward" to an abdominal ultrasound, an upper & lower barium series (yuck!!) and other tests. Hopefully I will get all this done this month. I went for bloodwork yesterday, but they couldn't get anything...I was so dehydrated, my thin veins just collapsed.
As of last evening, I am eating & drinking, so by tomorrow I should be fully hydrated and able to share a little of the red stuff! I am feeling much better today!
But what a waste of time! I have so much to do before holidays and the wedding! My main concern is avoiding a 4th bout of the mystery illness in the meantime!!!

National scrapbooking Day 2008

I actually hosted my own online chat early Saturday morning! Granted at 2 am there aren't a lot of participants, but it was the first one for me...alone! After a snooze, I scrapped like mad until about 5pm Saturday.....

Morning Trauma

Everything is okay now, but earlier this morning, Squeaker got out usiing her new door. But she didn't have the infra-red mechanism on her collar and she couldn't get back in! There was blood smears on the door opening and she was nowhere to be found! We called & called the looked & looked...finally Ted found her under the shed...and she wasn't coming out! I finally coaxed her with loving words...and she came out...what a fright for all of us! (Especially with that big, mean dog next door! )
So now she has her collar on, and who knows if she'll ever go out through the door again....as soon as she gets near the door, the mechanism clicks, and she jumps! Oh dear!
