Ted's Almost Done!

I think Ted did a smashing job of refinishing the wood pieces.

My two little girls were playing in the sewing room....I heard a rustling, and looked and saw......

The Awakening

Do cats sense, with their extraordinary powers, the REM or dream stage of sleep, which occurs just before awakening, or are they simply hungry?
It all started with tiny white paws caressing my chin, which was barely exposed by the bed covers. After a few seconds, the caresses became a 3 pound purring Ear Muff which quickly morphed into a purring furry Neck Warmer. This triggered a HOT FLASH, causing me to move desperately seeking cool air. Said movement then attracted an 11 pound Bladder Weight, which immediately started licking the Neck Warmer while her whiskers tickled my face. Soon I was surrounded by a saliva drenched Purring Scarf. I don’t particularly like this aroma, however, in less than a minute, the purring ceased, replaced by soft cat snores. The Bladder Weight became a Leg Warmer, evidently settling in for a long snooze.
I am awake now and there is little chance of me falling back to sleep: I have to pee!

Ted's work continues....

These are the wooden pieces that Ted will be refinishing. Right now he has glued the broken bits together.

This is an antique sofa & chair. He has done several of these chairs for the same family in this area. All the furniture came from an old hotel in the boonies. So each son or daughter gets a chair. Not sure who gets this set. He has already removed the wood strips so they can be repaired and refinished.

Almost done my christmas shopping!

I was just doing up my Christmas list yesterday, and discovered to my sheer joy, that I am almost finished! I just have stocking stuffers to buy and then wrap and send the out of town gifts. WOW!! that's a FIRST!

It Snowed Last Night....

The trouble with early Christmas Shopping is that I like to give the gifts right away! So the Girls got their Christmas present early-- kitty bed for two!

Emma loves its softness, and she suckles and kneads it while purring loudly. Squeaker kneads and purrs too...Can you see how soft it is???

This one shows my little baby having a morning snooze. She is so active but doesn't seem to nap a lot-- I swear she sleeps with one eye open.....dosen't want to miss anything!

Scott's Hallowe'en Costume

Kristin made a costume for him..he was like in Star Wars, the Ruler of the Universe, except he didn't put the hood up!


Scott's nicname is 'eightfoot' and he was...literally, eight feet tal with his stilts on!


I think he's too cute to be a nasty ruler of the universe, don't you?
