Ted and I went on the Goldwing to Edmonton early this morning for breakfast, and we noticed that the trees were all abloom! The Mayday trees are late, but full of fragrant white blossoms, the crab apple trees are masses of pink, and even the lilacs are full out - what a joy to see!

Hopefully this is the Last Car Interior . . .

This Model A will be his last. At least we all hope so. Ted booked this car during a momentary panic he experienced with the first news of a recession earlier this year.
No recession for us! We turn away work nearly everyday. Car interiors? Never again. Ted says he's too old to crawl around inside them and he suffers for days afterwards.

Snow Situation Noon May 20

After 2 days of snow and cold temperatures, the sun is shining and at noon on Wednesday May 20, this is all that is left of the snow.
Emma is keeping tabs on two birds in the trees in this shot. Neither she or Squeaker like having wet feet & tails, but they love the sunshine! Everything will really green up now!

Monday was Another Story!

This is Dave Bodnaruk, a fellow traveller with us about Noon on Monday in Stettler . . . Dave continued to ride home to Calmar, while the rest of us obtained other tranportation. Stettler was a good choice of place to stop and our Wingers had family & friends there. So we found garages to park our bikes and a mini van to drive home in! Alberta weather - sheesh!

Off to Drumheller for the Long Weekend!

I got my hair all ready to go - French braided so I can get it under the helmet and won't have Honda Hair! Experimental this time. I have 3 hats to wear once we get there!

It's a bit cool here now, but we're hoping it will warm up in Dinosaur country! We're going to the Rosebud Theatre on Saturday night, and touring around Sunday- I hope we get to see the Tyrell Museum, as I have never been there! And of course Ted doesn't want to miss the Gopher Museum . . . how exciting must that be? Will keep you posted!

Happy Mother's Day everyone!

To my family & friends who are Mothers, have a wonderful day!
I took this quick shot before crawling into bed this morning after a night shift. Unfortunately I didn't get to go on the Mother's Day ride today --- I'm a little choked up about that, but I hope all the ladies had fun on their first motorcycle ride of the year! Whoohoo!

Chasing a Squirrel

A cheeky little squirrel came into the yard today, and Squeak didn't miss a beat! Emma was watching too, but she wasn't brave enough to chase it up into the trees. You can see from this photo that Squeaker is quite high up, and she climbed several of these trees after that pesky pest. But the Squirrel could jump from tree to tree so it won out! Once the trees leaf out, the cats won't be able to see the "wildlife."

Spring is finally here!
Now that the snow is gone, and hopefully will stay gone . . . we can think about getting the patio set out and think about what to plant. Mother's Day is next weekend, and around here, that signals the time to plant the garden. The lawn "swat" team has been and gone so things are nice and clean. A nice little rain would just be perfect now to wash the dust away and get the lawn greened up!The kitties are spending most of the day outside chasing bugs, dead leaves and the odd plastic bag that flies by on the wind. Sometimes they just chase each other across the lawn - so happy to be outside!
