Jazz Concert!

Last evening, Ted & I attended the first of the winter concert series at the Cultural Arts Theatre here in Westlock.  Every performer that comes here is Top Notch and last night was no exception!  John Lee Sanders was born and raised in Memphis and went to New Orleans whenever possible.  His grandmother used to play organ/piano for the silent movies in Memphis, so he grew up cutting his teeth on music.  He did not disappoint! My very favorite number was in honor of Congo Square in New Orleans, where slaves were allowed to use their drums.  In any other location, drums were banned.

Too bad you can't see John's cool hat!
