While I worked all weekend, the annual Westlock Ride for STARS took place all around me. The day turned out to be quite beautiful, with a round trip to Slave Lake for the Poker Run, ending at the Westlock Outdoor Market, where one booth was serving beef on a bun with beans and potato salad for a STARS fund raiser.
It takes several days for the official stats to be finalized, but regardless, I really enjoyed having a yardful of campers and a campfire each night . . . nobody complained that I smelled of smoke at work, so I guess everything was okay!
Ted announced at the general meeting last night, that after all expenses are paid, we should have raised about $11,000! Way to go guys & gals!
